Cosa indossare per un colloquio di lavoro? Domanda molto insidiosa. Molti pensano che l’abbigliamento sia una questione futile ma, in realtà, in alcuni ambiti si guarda anche a questo. I selezionatori fanno molta attenzione a come vi presentate, se siete curati e rispettosi dell’ambiente che vi circonda.

Oggi, quindi, voglio proporvi alcuni capi ideali per un colloquio e qualche piccolo consiglio per uscirne al meglio!

What to wear to a job interview? That’s a very difficult question. Many people think that the outfit is something trivial but actually, in some situations, it is strongly considered. Selectors pay serious attention to the way you appear, if you are neat and environment-friendly.

So, today, I will propose you some ideal outfits for a job interview and some tips to best deal with it!

IL CLASSICO TAILLEUR

L’accoppiata giacca-pantalone è sicuramente la mia preferita. La indosso spessissimo anche per una serata.

Ma è perfetta per darvi un’aria professionale ed elegante. Per renderla meno “severa”, aggiungete un tocco personale, un paio di stivaletti, una spilla oppure una borsa di un colore in contrasto.

THE CLASSIC SUIT

My favourite match is certainly jacket-trousers. I wear them very often, even for an evening event.

However, they are perfect to make you look professional and elegant. To make the suit less serious, add something personal, a pair of boots, a pin or a coloured bag in contrast.

LO SPEZZATO

Appartenente al mondo maschile, lo spezzato può essere adottato anche da noi fanciulle.

Possiamo giocare con tonalità e stampe differenti, restando comunque eleganti ma non troppo formali.

Potete anche aggiungere un paio di pantaloni palazzo (al posto di quelli classici) per rendere il look ancora più interessante.

THE MISMATCHED SUIT

Belonging to the male world, the mismatched suit can be worn even by girls.

We can match different colours and patterns, looking still elegant and not too formal.

You can also add a pair of palazzo pants (instead of the the classic ones) to make your look even more fascinating.

L’ABITO

Mi raccomando, altezza al ginocchio! Ricordatevi che state cercando di ottenere un lavoro.

Potete aggiungere sotto una camicia oppure, al posto della giacca un bel maxi gilet.

THE SUIT

Don’t forget, knee-lenght! Remember, you are applying for a job.

You can wear a blouse under it or a maxi waistcoat instead of jacket.

LA CAMICIA

Scegliete un modello diverso dal solito. Un colletto particolare oppure un stampa dai colori tenui che non sia, però, troppo invasiva.

Ideale per un look formale ma non troppo.

THE BLOUSE

Choose something different from usual. A particular collar or a light coloured pattern, not too intense.

Perfect for a formal look, but not too much.

GONNA

Se siete delle inguaribili romantiche, la gonna può fare al caso vostro.

Personalmente non amo molto il tailleur giacca-gonna e preferisco spezzare la gonna, che può essere longuette oppure a ruota, con un maglione a collo alto oppure una camicia.

SCARPE

Stivaletti dalla linea pulita, classiche décolleté e derby maschili saranno le compagne perfette per il vostro look.

THE SKIRT

If you are hopeless romantic, the skirt can perfectly suit you.

Personally, I don’t like so much suits with jacket and skirt and I prefer to match the skirt, longuette or circle, with a rollneck jumper or a blouse.

SHOES

Linear boots, classic pumps and derby shoes will be the best choice for your look.

E ORA QUALCHE CONSIGLIO PER UN COLLOQUIO TOP!

1- Informatevi sempre bene sull’azienda e sulla figura che stanno cercando. Ricordatevi che la selezione è una verifica delle attitudini quindi mostratevi preparati e fate attenzione alle domande. Questo vale anche per l’abbigliamento: se l’azienda è formata da creativi, regolatevi di conseguenza.

2- Siate sempre voi stessi. Chi seleziona si accorge se state fingendo. Quindi mantenete la calma e non esagerate.

3- Attenzione ai termini e al linguaggio. Come anche al proprio aspetto: capelli, mani e trucco curati.

4- Evitare domande dirette poco eleganti come quelle inerenti il compenso.

5- Preparatevi delle domande su dubbi o delucidazioni: verrà vista di buon occhio la volontà di volerne sapere di più.

AND NOW SOME TIPS FOR A PERFECT JOB INTERVIEW!

1- Always find out information about the company and the position you are applying for. Rememebr that the selection is also an aptitude test so be ready and pay attention to questions. This is valid also for the outfit: if the company is made of creative designers, adjust as necessary.

2- Be always yourself. The ones who select notice if you are not telling the truth. So keep calm and don’t exaggerate.

3- Pay attention to words and the language but also to your look: neat hair, hands and make-up.

4- Avoid direct questions, as those about payment.

5- Prepare a list of questions about doubts and explanations: the desire of knowing something more will be positively valued.
